i found the receptionist, grace , to be friendly . the quiet location allowed for peaceful rest , complemented by well kept gardens. the private car park offered convenient and secure vehicle storage.
i noticed the bar's limited stock , with only lager available on tap.

my room featured a comfortable bed , assuring restful sleep. i found ample towels were supplied , including two pillows for each guest. the overall cleanliness of the room was maintained very well.

the hotel had a handy electric car charger i used. my room included two separate sinks, this was really convenient. the bed was good quality. also, the location allows easy access to a nearby aldi store.
i noticed a slight fusty smell upon entering the front door of the building.

the staff at the front desk were friendly and polite. they assisted with directions. also, when i needed an extra towel, the staff brought it to my room within ten minutes.

The staff was pleasant. i really enjoyed the salmon and scrambled egg choice for breakfast. It was excellent. the hotel dates back to the 1600s and is full of character but the bathrooms were fully modernised. very good value i think.
the parking area was small and cramped, but i found a spot easily.
